Internship at
Breathe Parkour
Breathe Parkour started in 2011 as one of Canada’s first Parkour publications. A husband and wife team has since grown to become the owners of Canada’s largest Parkour facilities, with two locations in Calgary and one in Lethbridge.
While seeking options for my summer internship, I was provided with a marketing and graphic design position to elevate their branding objectives and provide further expansion of their business processes and diversification of their membership base.
From what started as a summer internship extended until December 2018. During this time, I created hundreds of graphics for internal and external sources in both web and print formats. I redesigned the website to increase overall functionality and ease of use for the consumer. The site was fitted with enhanced integration through their MindBody customer system, allowing participants to sign up for classes and events with ease! The website was designed with SEO in mind, and using google analytics, has been able to track a near 113% increase in overall traffic since its launch.
Finally, all business collateral was updated to reflect the new brand standards. I designed new brochures, business cards, various training materials, and 11 catalogues to reflect and detail the new Parkour curriculum. Through a process of collaborative discussions and testing, these marketing and graphic design strategies enhanced their exposure towards achieving a more robust membership and assisted with their continued growth.
