The Canadian Society of Long Term Care Medicine is focused on improving the quality of education, clinical research and service delivery of comprehensive long term patient care.

The CSLTCM is a national community of dedicated physicians committed to improving the education and quality of medical delivery used to treat long term care patients.

Their goal was to design a website that would serve as a base for the LTC community across Canada.  They required a repository of resources and a member's area where physicians can come together and share ideas.

Instituted a site that promotes quality LTC resources and education nationally. Built a comprehensive members-only area that features restricted pages for advanced resources and an open forum to foster discussion between physicians.

The Brief

The design brief consisted of two parts.  The first was to create a repository of resources that aid healthcare practitioners in treating their LTC patients as well as a separate repository dedicated to treatment amidst Covid-19.  Secondly, to develop a comprehensive members only area that was made available once the annual membership fee was paid.

The Solution

Working closely with the Board of Directors, hundreds of resources were collated, vetted, and implemented into the websites two distinct resource sections.  Reports, publications, professional development opportunities, and support and advocacy groups were also accumulated for the website.  This allows users to effortlessly browse and easily find the aids they require.

The membership process was organized to ensure an optimal flow from plan purchase to account setup.  The members-only area includes a host of private pages and an online discussion forum for LTC professionals to share patient care initiatives across Canada.

There was a total of 47 pages developed dedicated to improve long term care in Canada.

The new platform launched September 2020.
